Everyday women, real stories – Meritta Bra’s photoshoot day
We often hear from our customers that lingerie is shown too often on so-called “perfect” models. Many want to see products on everyday women of different ages and sizes, and at different stages of life. This made us pause and think: what if we showed part of our collection exactly as it’s meant to be worn—on a variety of bodies?
The Concept and Execution of the Photoshoot Day
We decided to photograph some of the bras and swimwear in our collection and invite customers to model them instead of using professional models. They were everyday Finnish women of different ages, sizes, and walks of life. Women who had found perfectly fitting lingerie and wanted to be part of this heartfelt day. We wanted to show what our products really look and feel like, whether for everyday wear or special occasions. Well-fitting bras aren’t made for catalogs. They’re made for living.
The photoshoot wasn’t intended to make a statement one way or another. It was an authentic way for us to show that our collection works in our customers’ everyday lives. What matters most to us is that every woman feels comfortable and confident. When a bra fits well and provides support where it’s needed, you don’t see it—but you feel it.
A Finnish Collaboration from Start to Finish
The photoshoot was also a tribute to Finnish entrepreneurship. Planning began in January, and the project was brought to life entirely by a Finnish team. The shoot took place at 360Shop Studio in Fashion Center, where photographer Tiina Valavaara captured the spirit of the day in stunning images. Krista Stenberg handled makeup and hair, creating naturally beautiful looks that highlighted each model’s individuality. Business students Cecilia and Sandra planned the shoot. Their attention to detail, creativity, and warm approach are reflected in both the atmosphere of the day and the final images.
The photoshoot day was filled with joy, warmth, and meaningful connections. Each participant brought her own unique energy and story. We wanted to show what bras and swimwear look and feel like in real life—authentically and proudly, on bodies of different shapes and sizes.
